For elite areas, most team builds are set to beat a set of conditions as fast as possible. For farming, this means more gold per hour. Usually the party consists of a Tanking Character (Warrior/Dervish/Monk/Elementalist), Area of Effect Damage Dealers (Elementalist, Necromancer, Ranger, Smite Monks, Ritualist) and Healers (Healing and Protection Monks).
To get into elite groups, I rank the most accepted professions as follows: 1. Monks, 2 or more, can use heal, prot, bond, tank builds. 2. Ele, 2 or more, AOE damage, tank builds. 3. Necro, 1 or more, AOE damage, or degen builds. 4. Stance Tank. 5. Ranger (Mainly Barrage/Interrupt or Conditions builds). 6. Ritualist (Spirit Spammer, Splinter/Barrage/Interrupt, Healer). 7. Dervish (Tank) 8. Paragon 9. Mesmer 10. Assassin This order will only change if better team builds are created which utilize paragon, mesmer, and assassin professions. FYI mesmer can slow down casting time on foes, and use diversion to lengthen the recharge of skills. Also Faction bosses deal extra dmg rather than half hex/conditions.
Degen and Eburn also work on him as well. And since a mesmer can shatter his enchants for 100+dmg interupting them is not such a big deal. |
